The £2,500 prize awarded to Highcliffe School pupil Alice Gardiner
New Milton Sand and Ballast have awarded Alice Gardiner from Highcliffe Sixth Form College a prize sum of £2,500 for winning this year’s Green BEE competition. Alice competed against four other A Level students from New Forest schools for the cash prize. Read more

A team of dedicated and community-minded individuals from New Milton Sand and Ballast (NMSB), including staff and friends, were up well before the larks at 2am on Sunday 16th September volunteering their services to ensure that the 40 mile New Forest Marathon and Half Marathon route was ready for starters orders at 9am. Orchard Lakes Angling Club receives local sponsorship
In 2000, operations began at Orchard Lane Nursery to remove 100,000 tonnes of sand and gravel. Three years later all the material has been removed by New Milton Sand & Ballast and the land has been restored to create a series of lakes for fishing. Read more
