Local company New Milton Sand & Ballast has invested heavily in its environmental programme, spending a massive £1.4m at its Caird Avenue and Pennington sites. This will enable the company to recycle more waste destined for landfill and reduces the amount of virgin sand and gravel that it needs to dig from the ground with immediate effect. Read more

Downton Press Statement

26th February 2009

The Secretary of State has been forced to re-decide the planning application for Downton Manor Farm, Milford On Sea following a High Court challenge from New Milton Sand & Ballast. During the High Court Challenge it was found that the Secretary of State made a fundamental error and so a new public inquiry has to take place.
