Blog New Milton Sand and Ballast to help 10 million people get...

28th June 2010

New Milton Sand and Ballast is supporting Race Online 2012 - a national campaign to make Britain the first 100% networked nation.

Race Online 2012 is a Government-backed initiative led by the UK's Digital Champion - Martha Lane Fox - which aims to get the whole of the UK online by the Olympic year.

New Milton Sand and Ballast, and its group of companies, has made a digital promise and pledged to support the initiative by spreading the word though its network of suppliers and customers.

The company's managing director, Trevor Poole, said: ''It's hard to imagine life without the internet, yet 10 million adults in the UK have never been online. The web is such an integral part of both my business and social life and I believe it is only right that others should have the same opportunities as me. This why we are fully behind the Race Online 2012 campaign and committed to inspiring others to come on-board too.''

Visit www.raceonline2012.org to find out how you can join us by making your own promise to teach, train or inspire others to get online.
