Chris Deans, Merchant Manager at NMSB, becomes ambassador for the BMF

We are extremely pleased to announce that Chris Deans, our Merchant Manager, has become an ambassador for the Builders Merchant Federation (BMF).

Chris has worked in the DIY and Merchant industries for over 15 years. Starting out as a student in a management masters programme and working his way up through the different roles across the retail businesses to become responsible for the Merchant division of NMSB.

Since joining us 18 months ago, alongside increasing our own revenues year on year, introducing new product categories and improving our customer experience in branch, Chris really enjoys developing his team and supporting their careers progress.

Chris commented:

“The merchant retail business is fast paced, competitive and varied but our customers are the best. You get to build great relationship and truly see how you can help. From advising people about the right products to use for certain jobs or the best tools to get, its extremely rewarding. I am proud of my own career journey so far and to now share this with others and inspire new talent to join the industry is something I am really excited about.”
