New Site for Sporting & Horticultural Division progressing well

  • 07/08/2023

Work at NMSB’s new production site in West Grimstead is underway.

Our sporting and horticultural division, formerly known as Roffey, is a premium supplier and producer of premium rootzones, specialist sands, and top-dressing products. Due to the success of the business over the past year, we took the decision to acquire a new, much larger production site on the outskirts of Salisbury.

The material holding bays and concrete floors are being created.

The site's material holding bays and concrete floor areas are progressing well, and we are on track to move our operations over at the end of the year. The new space is vast and will increase our undercover storage capacity to nearly 10,000 tonnes, an increase of 205%, as well as the ability to stock more outside as well, so roll on 2024!

We work with many contractors, schools, sporting facilities, and golf clubs across the country, and are able to make various blends to our customer's specific requirements, at competitive prices.

Matt Lock, Commercial Director comments: "We have received great feedback on our quality from facilities such as Southampton Football Club, Wincanton Racecourse, and Remedy Oak Golf Club, and hope to extend our portfolio even wider over the next 12 months with the increase in our production capability. This is an exciting time for us in this area."
