As part of our environmental commitments, the NMSB team have embarked on a company wide challenge to ‘Spot it, Stop it & Save it’ by reducing electricity wastage. This may seem obvious but across the company there are many little things that add up, especially over the winter months, and these are often overlooked as they are in communal areas so not specifically accountable to any one person, areas such as kitchens or mess rooms.
Last week, we created, supplied, and carried out the essential works required by The Fortune College, part of The Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy, to help them improve their much-needed and used yard. Currently the College are undertaking a huge funding project to help them replace the roof covering of their indoor riding school and ancillary buildings.
As part of our activities to raise money for the Beaverbrook 30 for 30 Challenge in aid of Oakhaven Hospice, we are running a ‘guess the weight’ competition.
During the summer term, we met with a group of students from Arnewood School studying for their Student Leadership Qualification with the SSAT.
In times gone past the company created an annual calendar for customers and the community. Starting in the 50’s with our last one produced in the early 2000’s. Unfortunately, our archives do not hold any past examples to share. However, we believe themes varied annually. We were recently shown one that circulated in 1967 produced on silk, but we are unaware of the significance of the lady in the photo or the jade ring
