Hibbs Building Supplies – Branch Manager Vacancy – New Milton


We are looking for an experienced Branch Manager to manage our successful and busy branch in New Milton. We are looking for someone with trade sector experience and good product knowledge of building and landscaping materials. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a fast-growing, renowned independent building & landscaping merchant in the Hampshire and Dorset area. Our success is built on strong relationships with our colleagues and customers, so it is essential you have the ability to coach and develop a team to deliver the highest standard of service.  There is great potential to take this branch to the next level.


What will you be responsible for:

  • You will have complete responsibility for the day-to-day management of a successful branch.
  • You will have primary responsibilities for driving the growth of the business, including profit and loss responsibility.
  • You will be responsible for staff development, coaching and ensuring that
  • Health and Safety is adhered to.
  • You will need to be commercially astute with a proven ability to influence staff members and drive sales.
  • Develop strong relationships with key customers.


Who are we looking for:

  • Proven experienced Branch Manager in the merchant or trade sector.
  • High level of customer service and trading skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate confidently at all levels.
  • Knowledge of building and landscaping materials.
  • Organised with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to multitask, work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Personable, outgoing and a team player.

HGV Driver – Wimborne


We are currently looking for a HGV driver based at Wimborne with experience and relevant driving licences. We have a variety of vehicle types that you can be trained on but you will be primarily using a concrete mixer lorry after training. Local geographical knowledge would be an advantage as this is local day work.


You will be working closely with the driving fleet and the Transport management team. You should be able to build relationships with the customers that you service, as you will be an ambassador for the Company and high standards must be adhered to at all times.


You will be expected to keep your vehicle clean and tidy to a very high standard, both internally and externally. You will also be expected to complete daily inspection sheets and report defects, and to comply with Health and Safety requirements at all times.


NMS vehicles and drivers work within the scope of the law, therefore, a good knowledge of all LGV regulations including driver’s hours rules and regulations are required.


An LGV2 licence will be required for this role along with an up-to-date driver CPC qualification.


Salary will be determined by individual experience and aptitude.
