Sales Advisor - New Milton

Roffey Brothers have been supplying quality manufactured products, including rootzones and composts, for over 70 years to the sports turf and grower industries. Now part of the H.H. & D.E. Drew group, we continue to provide solutions and support to our expanding customer base.

We are currently looking for a Sales Advisor to join our fast-paced and dynamic Sales team at our Head Office in New Milton. Your responsibilities will include taking incoming sales calls and liaising with both customers and our Transport team to arrange deliveries to both sports grounds and retail customers. You will be processing and completing end-to-end sales using established software systems and providing sales support for the Roffey Sales team.

You will also be expected to always comply with Health and Safety requirements.

You must be fully customer-focused and able to deal with rapidly changing priorities. You will be fully trained on our diverse range of Company products.

We are ideally looking for an individual with suitable experience and qualifications, however, this role could suit a person who is self-motivated, organised and confident in communicating with people on all levels, as well as being confident working within time constraints.

Salary will be determined by individual experience and aptitude.

Please see details of how to apply at the bottom of this webpage.

Closing date for applications: 01/03/2020.

Transport Planner - New Milton

We are a well-established New Forest-based Company with an expanding Transport department. Our Transport division is a busy aspect of the business, which is why we are looking to recruit a Transport Planner.

The role would involve planning for our fleet of HGV vehicles on a daily basis and delivering a variety of products on a mixed fleet, i.e. tippers, flatbeds, skips and Hiabs. As Transport Planner, you would be required to maximise revenue and utilise assets, all within the scope of transport rules and regulations, as set out by the DVSA.

We are looking for an individual with a logical mind - this could be a junior planner who will require training, or it could be someone who has experience in this field already. The right person would have the ability to:

  • Work well as part of a team, but also be able to work on their own initiative - you will be required to work with a range of personnel internally and externally
  • Have geographical knowledge of the local area
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Build relationships with peers and customers alike
  • IT literacy
  • Self-motivated
  • Adaptable
  • Dependable
  • Must have a full driving licence

Responsibilities would include:

  • Route-planning
  • Scheduling drivers throughout the day to monitor their progress and take necessary measures to ensure that the work is completed each day.
  • Maintain driver records electronically and in paper format
  • Ensure drivers and vehicles are legal at all times
  • Driver brief and de-brief
  • Ad hoc duties as required

There will be a full training programme, however, the role could lead to gaining industry-recognised qualifications for the right candidate.

Salary will be determined by individual experience and aptitude.

Please see details of how to apply at the bottom of this webpage.

Closing date for applications: 21/02/2020.

HGV Driver – Wimborne

We are currently looking for a HGV driver based at Wimborne with experience and relevant driving licences. We have a variety of vehicle types that you can be trained on but you will be primarily using a concrete mixer lorry after training. Local geographical knowledge would be an advantage as this is local day work.

You will be working closely with the driving fleet and the Transport management team. You should be able to build relationships with the customers that you service, as you will be an ambassador for the Company and high standards must be adhered to at all times.

You will be expected to keep your vehicle clean and tidy to a very high standard, both internally and externally. You will also be expected to complete daily inspection sheets and report defects, and to comply with Health and Safety requirements at all times.

NMS vehicles and drivers work within the scope of the law, therefore, a good knowledge of all LGV regulations including driver’s hours rules and regulations are required.

An LGV2 licence will be required for this role along with an up-to-date driver CPC qualification.

Salary will be determined by individual experience and aptitude.
