For most people house maintenance in the winter months includes ensuring their house is not suffering from heat loss. However, this may not always be ‘top of the list’ when there are many other more noticeable jobs to do first. Yet, with the current situation upon us and many people now working from home, the need to stay warm but reduce costs is something of a major priority.
Ensuring a property is properly insulated is one of the main ways to reduce energy bills. There are many different options when it comes to insulation but one of the quickest routes is to ensure your loft is correctly insulated.
Our Builder’s Merchants in New Milton now stock a range of high-quality loft insulation and have an introductory offer on (100/170/200mm super glass)
only £13.50 a roll plus VAT
To talk to us about our range of insulation materials or to place an order, please contact our team on 01425 610566.
While the installation process itself can be relatively easy, we always recommend that for best results, you hire a professional, experienced tradesperson to carry out the job for you.
Until the 31 March 2022, homeowners and landlords can apply for a voucher from the Government of up to £5,000 to put towards installing energy efficient and low carbon heating improvements to their homes which includes loft insulation.
Before applying for the Green Homes voucher – homeowners must have an estimate and a tradesperson in place to complete the work. However, to carry out this work trades must be Trustmark Accredited.
