CONSTRUCTION AGGREGATES

We provide a variety of construction aggregates, available loose or bagged, for delivery or collection from our sites. Many of our construction aggregates are produced from our own quarries, including our popular shingles, all in ballast and recycled materials. We also supply high-quality Mendip limestone.

All in Ballast

A reliable grit mix used as a base for site mixed screeds and for wet bedded paving slabs. Also used by horticulturalists for free draining soils.

A 10mm premixed flint shingle and sand mix where a finer finish is required for site mixed concreting.

A 20mm premixed flint shingle and sand mix where a finer finish is required for site mixed concreting.

Drainage Layer Shingle

A clean regular sized drainage layer for construction of turfed and drainage areas.

A clean 4-10mm shingle commonly used as a drainage layer, the size required depends on the space available. Supplied loose, bagged in bulk or 25kg bags.

A clean 6-14mm shingle commonly used as a drainage layer, the size required depends on the space available. Supplied loose, bagged in bulk or 25kg bags.

A clean 10-20mm shingle commonly used as a drainage layer, the size required depends on the space available. Supplied loose, bagged in bulk or 25kg bags.

Blinding Layer Shingle

Blinding layer for use over more open drainage base layers during construction of turfed areas.

Perfect for use as a blinding layer, this 2-6mm shingle is available loose, bagged in bulk or 25kg bags.

Mendip Limestone

Graded to Clause 803. Widely used as sub base material for roads and driveways, flooring areas in warehouses. A reliable compactable limestone.

This popular product is often used as a subbase material. Great for use under shingle driveways, containing less fines (dust) than Scalpings, allowing for better drainage.

A compactable limestone suitable as a sub base for paths and driveways. Contains more dust than Type 1

Our 40mm Scalpings are often used as a subbase material. They contain more dust than Type 1 limestone and compact very well.

6F5- Crushed Concrete

Graded 100mm-dust, this is a recycled product, often used as a fill material,  that can be used as a temporary road material, for creating a hard standing area.

This recycled material is produced from crushed concrete/brick/rubble waste at our waste recycling centre. Available loose.

Type 1 Crushed Concrete

Graded to 40mm-dust, This is a recycled product that can be used as a sub-base or fill material. *May contain permitted contaminants.

This recycled product is is a cost effective, durable aggregate, commonly used for sub bases and for filling. Available loose.

Limestone for Permeable Paving

This graded limestone is perfect for use under paving and where drainage is essential. Stocked in a range of sizes, which can be layered for maximum permeability.

No fines crushed stone used as a laying course for block paving.Available loose.

A free draining sub base limestone compacted to typically 100 ­ 150mm. Available loose.

A lower sub base material which is compactable and where a depth of 350mm is required for natural drainage. Available loose.

A smaller stone size suitable for levelling and blinding on paths and driveways.

This 0-20mm limestone is a smaller option of limestone often used is commonly used for levelling and blinding. Available for delivery loose.
