SANDS

Our dedicated and advanced wash plant produces consistent grading of our sands to suit many sports purposes from golf greens to football pitches.

Our sands have sub-angular to sub-rounded grains, maintaining balanced percolation and retention of soil moisture. They are lime free, providing manageable soil pH levels, and have good pit longevity and reserves.

Our sands are consistently independently tested at STRI, alongside regular in house testing.

Premium Dressing Sand

Genuine medium-coarse dressing sand. Ideal for thatch replacement and texture improvement to rootzones. Also used in our Rootzones requiring USGA performance specification.

Sport Dressing Sand

Medium-coarse dressing sand with a small inclusion of fine sand giving more retention of soil water when required. Ideal for winter sports pitches to add traction for players. Can be used on golf and bowling greens. The specification is ideal for sports pitches.

Kiln Dried Dressing Sand

Free flowing sand purposely produced for use in most sand injection machines. Our Kiln Dried Sand is Premium Sand which is flame heated. The use of Premium Sand gives all agronomic advantages as highlighted above but also means less dust as it is low in fines.

FINE TURF

A traditional greens top dressing, ideal with organic-based fertiliser programmes and when more ‘body’ is required in the dressing. These blends are designed to provide high levels of percolation whilst also increasing CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity).

Our dressing is made using our premium sand, and the soil is heat sterilised, meaning there are no weed seeds or pathogens. The sand/soil ratio can be adjusted to meet your specifications.

Our fine turf dressing is consistently, independently tested at STRI, alongside regular in-house testing.

Fine Turf Top Dressing

70:30 or 80:20
(Premium Sand/3mm Sterilised Soil)

Weed seed and pathogen free. This turf provides a good base for grass seed germination at renovation time. A combination of premium sand and 3mm screened sterilised soil give good drainage whilst maintaining good levels of CEC.
